@jeffgiesea This is true, but I’d suggest three things further: 1. Shared epistemics is premised on shared ethos (ie the kind of behavior and disposition that grounds dialog at all); 2. if shared ethos breaks down we enter into a downward spiral where epistemic breakdown produces relational
