Hello Fam! Korenna here <3 Today marks the 155th celebration of Juneteenth. I was never taught about Juneteenth in school. I think I was almost FORTY before I became aware of this important date and the history behind it. Today I want to share some history about Juneteenth in acknowledgement of both how far our nation has come – and how far we have yet to go. We are beyond thrilled to be celebrating the graduation of Blessing Horowytz, the very first from our Art of Circling Level 2/Facilitator Training course! It Takes a Village When I look around, it seems more and more like we are becoming a world of individual, disconnected humans: – Contact with friends is increasingly via texts, emails and social media and less in person time with each other. – Exercise is more likely to consist of solo practice like yoga and treadmills and less team sports or games that require cooperation & trust and build community. – Relaxation happens more with Netflix and meditation than walks in nature with friends or communal gatherings. – Healing happens in a therapist’s office vs. with those we know,
