What Will It Take to Regenerate Continents?

This morning I am sitting with the emotions of what it will truly take to regenerate entire continents…

Systems of globalized extraction are so pervasive and destructive. They will need to collapse as part of the process. This implies a great deal of suffering and loss that is far from over.

Yet in the same process there will be a growing wave of humanity seeking harmony with the Earth. Communities rallying together in service to life. How can the turbulence of such a blend be survived?

I sit with this deeply because I know so much about what is happening at the planetary scale. And now I am seeking to know and love different landscapes where holistic regenerative practices are coming into coherence.

By traveling from the headwaters to the sea of the Colorado Basin, I directly experienced how one of the most beautiful parts of the planet has been reduced to “pipes and bathtubs” for extraction and hoarding of water. So much death is being caused by this insanity right now.

At the same time, everywhere I went there were people with deep spiritual connections to their place — so much love and feelings of responsibility to restore healthy ecosystems and enable humanity to remain.

Holding all of this as I play among the children in Barichara. We all have emotional processing to do as we lean into the future together.

Onward, fellow humans.
