“Some people would comment that we are making progress in learning how to get along. Maybe we are less violent than we have been in the past. And it is true that many of us want to change the way we deal with conflict, and learn how to work consciously with them in a way that is genuine and compassionate, as opposed to simply hoping that our differences with others will just go away on their own, magically, almost by some miracle.

Instead, we are willing to take responsibility for these challenges and work with them in a manner that is awake, mindful and that brings more depth, authenticity, and care to our relationships.

To the extent we can accomplish this on a personal level, we do the whole planet a big favor. We create new grooves in old patterns that carry us to resolve our own disputes with more efficiency. Eventually our increased capacity to deal with our own personal conflicts translate into increased capacity in our local neighborhoods and communities.

Ultimately, our work and practice will have an impact on the world at a much greater scale. Learning how to do this on a personal level really is a contribution to our overall human evolution.”

One of the intentions of the Real LIFE Programs is the premise that we can work proactively and responsibly with our conflicts and energy. We offer mindsets, skillsets and toolsets to practice and learn how to do that in a way that feels safe.
