Thank you for your responses. We enjoy learning from both the successes and failures of Holacracy adoption efforts. Holacracy is certainly not appropriate for every organization, and there are some important factors to consider that will influence whether or not any effort to adopt Holacracy is successful.
Also, I’d share that Holacracy is markedly different in its decision-making structure than “flat management.” To my knowledge, Github, Treehouse, and Buffer were not practicing Holacracy, though I’d be interested to know if I’m mistaken.
