Compassion and love – these are fundamental feeling capacities we all share. But how do we cultivate these feelings when our situation is becoming intense? Or when we want to win or we feel threatened? Or when we can’t understand each other? Can we learn to stay open and kind while being criticized, while experiencing fear, threat or unfairness?

In a new 10-week online course, “Compassion and Love in Challenging Times,” Caty Hartung (Integral coach and life-long meditator) and I (Buddhist Zen teacher and professional mediator) will look deeply into the Buddhist concept of Love and Compassion, working with contemporary practices that help to stabilize loving awareness in times of difficulty and change.

The program starts September 18. We hope to see you there.
