Community Events in Headwaters of the Colorado River

For those of you following our trip to Regenerate the Colorado River Basin, there will be a series of community events that you can join if you happen to be in the area.

Tuesday, May 23rd :: Public Library in Paonia

This public event will include a presentation and interactive discussion sharing how Earth Regenerators work has evolved in Barichara, the North Fork Valley, and beyond since Joe’s first visit to Paonia last fall: funding approaches, the Design School for Regenerating Earth, a potential “Regenerate the Colorado” watershed-wide summit in Paonia next year, applied Prosocial, and more.

We hope you can join us!

Location and Time:
5:30 to 7:30 PM at Paonia Public Library

Wednesday, May 24th :: Strategy Sessions in Carbondale

There will be a series of private events with the local organization team and various community leaders. We will hike part of the watershed to assess regenerative potentials, convene a strategy meeting about hosting a summit for the Colorado Basin, and explore the applications of Prosocial in landscape regeneration projects at large scales.

Thursday, May 25th :: Public Talk in Grand Junction

There will be a public talk at the First Congregational Church at 1425 N. 5th Street in Grand Junction that takes place at 5 PM with a potluck dinner afterward. We will share our vision for regenerating the entire Colorado River Basin and hold community dialogue to explore how to begin organizing around it.

Monday, May 29th :: Community Gathering in Cortez

There will be a gathering of engaged community members for a hike and conversation about how to incorporate the Dolores River into the regeneration of the Colorado River Basin.

Please go here to receive notifications about our efforts to regenerate the Colorado and also please consider making a donation to support this work. You can follow along on Twitter with the hashtag #RegenerateTheColorado as well.

Joe Brewer is co-founder of the Design School for Regenerating Earth and author of The Design Pathway for Regenerating Earth. He will be accompanied by Penny Heiple and Benji Ross on this sacred journey in service to the Colorado Basin.
