⏰ Does your collaborative decision making takes too long? Do you feel like you get stuck when trying to make decisions with your team?

You are not the only one!
When people are looking for new ways of working, they know they want to avoid the domineering autocratic mode, but they also know how long it takes when they try to make all their decisions by consensus.

The result?
🔻 progress gets stalled,
🔻 small disagreements blow out of proportion,
🔻 the decision-making process can take forever.

💡 There can be a “safe” solution.
What we’ve noticed about really mature decentralised organisations is that they have what we call a DECISION PROTOCOL 🏁

📌 How does it work?
They’ve invested some time to decide how they decide.

📌 What is it?
It is a collection of methods for different types of decisions. The decision protocol tells you:
💬 if you’re in this scenario ➡️ here’s the method to use. Easy, isn’t?

If you want to create a decision protocol for your team, we recommend you: 1) Choose a couple of common types of decision that regularly come up in your work.
2) Design an experiment to see what happens when you use different methods for those decisions.
3) Try them for a period of time (eg, 3 months)
4) Reflect on how they work, adjust, try again…
