“Love alone is not enough. Without imagination, love stales into sentiment, duty, boredom. Relationships fail not because we have stopped loving but because we first stopped imagining.” – James Hillman

One of my favorite @MonasticAcademy offerings is the Anti-Fragile Heart retreat. It’s a week long transformational buffet featuring trainings in things like IFS, Core Transformation, values work, clowning, contact improv, circling, and much more.

I love how we oscillate between learning skills and being thrown into the relational practice of circling. Get triggered in circling -> Work through it in a workshop -> Return to circling from a new perspective -> Repeat. Participants usually experience huge shifts from this.

@TranscendCEO @jonnym1ller IMO that’s one of the few hills worth dying on. Also the whole of his career is a testament to that statement. I don’t read it as grumpy, I read it as impassioned.

@TranscendCEO @jonnym1ller You might disagree with his argument but claiming he fails to engage it in earnestness seems foolish. For instance amazon.com/Hundred-Years-… Often when I hear this it means ‘engage it thru the lens of the system being critiqued ’. Which is a different (and important) project.

@TranscendCEO @jonnym1ller This is super nuanced…however based on looking at your profile I would encourage you to engage more deeply with his perspective. There may be something in it that you are missing and possibly longing for. I know there was for me. ❤️

I love when James Hillman rails against modern psychology. 🥰 Very resonant with the poetic attunement of Steve March + Aletheia Coaching.
