We are rapidly coming to understand this fact now, but it always bears repeating. Interestingly, one aspect of the fraud of DEI isn’t new at all. It’s an old Communist standard common both to Mao’s regime in China and the Soviet Union before him, as well as elsewhere, surely. That said, welcome back to my Book Club episodes of

I recently read a document released by the CIA in 2005 that describes the New Left and Herbert Marcuse’s influence on college campuses. What it reveals is extremely relevant to what’s happening on college campuses today. “Marx, the god; Marcuse, his prophet; Mao, his sword.” In June of 1968, the Current Digest of the Soviet Press released a scathing article, calling University of California San Diego professor Herbert Marcuse a “false prophet.” As a Soviet entity, the Current Digest set out to annihilate Marcuse’s “decommunized Marxism,” for obvious reasons. Marcuse had abandoned “vulgar” Marxism and the USSR’s bureaucratic and administrative

New Discourses Bullets, Ep. 92 There’s an old saying about Communists that applies to all militant ideologies: they are good at conquest and bad at management. That’s only half of the story. The fact is that because of their cult-religious nature, various strains of Communism aren’t just bad at management; they’re completely disinterested in management. That is, they don’t want to make things work; they just want to control people and institutions to make more Communists. In this episode of New Discourses Bullets, host James Lindsay explains the ideas behind that simple summary of Communist behavior. Join him to learn

New Discourses Bullets, Ep. 88 Compliance can be extracted by tyrants from a population through a straightforward method of creating enmity between segments of the population. First, the population is split into those who comply with the tyrant’s programs and policies and those who do not comply. If there are enough among the compliant, a demonization campaign we should call “hatecraft” is employed to pressure those dragging their feet to comply and to demonize those who refuse compliance. Perhaps no one in history was more skilled at these techniques, the politics of compliance, than Mao Zedong in CCP-controlled China. In this

New Discourses Bullets, Ep. 84 “Communism marries a truth to a lie.” -Julie Behling, author of Beneath Sheep’s Clothingand director of a forthcoming documentary by the same title. One of the most basic truths about how Marxism works is that it marries a truth to a lie. Another way that has been put is that “every Woke term conceals an agenda.” In order to combat Woke Marxism, then, it is crucial that we learn to pull apart the truth and the lie and to expose the manipulation involved. In this episode of New Discourses Bullets, host James Lindsay takes you through the principle and

New Discourses Bullets, Ep. 82 Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion are three words that symbolize a program that a rapidly growing proportion of people across Western nations recognize to be nefarious. Indeed, they are Communist, as has been amply discussed on this podcast and on others. In this episode of New Discourses Bullets, host James Lindsay breaks this fact down another way. In it, he suggests that “Diversity” represents politicizing, “Equity” represents redistribution, and “Inclusion” represents accommodating the intolerant ideology of the Woke activists to achieve renormalization that transforms the institution. Join him for this insightful discussion that will change your perspective on DEI programs.

Should the United States split up? The country is more polarized than it ever has been, at least since the Civil War, having divided not so much geographically but culturally and ideologically. The two broad factions in this split are what we might call the “Red Team” (conservatives) and the “Blue Team” (progressives)—the irony in these color designations not being lost on many. Now that things are so divided, might it just be better to go our separate ways as peacefully as possible so we can get on with life? Might it be time for a “National Divorce”? Blue Team
