What Is Philosophy Good For?

In my recent talk to our Zoom group, I discussed the value of philosophy for personal and social well-being. I also talked about my forthcoming philosophy book, as well as the emerging category of philosophy called “developmental philosophy.” Additionally, I went over some of the recently published philosophy books I’ve been reading, including:

  • David Bentley Hart’s All Things Are Full of Gods
  • Iain McGilchrist’s The Matter With Things
  • Ken Wilber’s Finding Radical Wholeness
  • Philip Goff’s Why? The Purpose of the Universe
  • Ilia Delio’s The Not-Yet God
  • Jason Storm’s Metamodernism
  • David Temple’s First Principles and First Values
