Integral theory is an evolutionary metatheory developed by Ken Wilber. It attempts to provide an inclusive framework that can accommodate all domains of knowledge and learning. For example, integral approaches to science and religion are not incompatible. Central to integral theory are the quadrant model, states of consciousness and stage development.
