Should a level of introspection be a minimum requirement for holding a position of power? If so, how would we measure it?
China’s ongoing #ZeroCOVIDpolicy is a classic case of #cognitivedissonance. To relax the rules would be to admit that previous sacrifices were in vain, and that’s psychologically harder than persisting despite mounting evidence. As is the individual so is society.
