Bildung, Self-Development and How we can learn as Society

For this edition of our Online Salons, Jascha virtually met the philosopher and philanthropist Tomas Björkman (Founder Ekskäret Foundation).

Introducing ideas from the book „The Nordic Secret“, Tomas examines how inner and outer worlds are related and puts forth the idea that “Bildung”, (which roughly translates into self-cultivation or personal development), is one of the cornerstones that have made the Scandinavian countries turn out to be so relatively progressive today. Together they explore the impact of personal development and Bildung on citizens for becoming more cocreative actors in tackling the collective challenges ahead.
