Today, we are writing to share an update on our beloved Terry and invite you to join us in holding Terry in your heart at a sacred time.

As you are probably aware, Terry was diagnosed with a rare and aggressive cancer in April of this year, and he has been courageously sharing about his “life-threatening and life-brightening” journey ever since.

Over the past several days, Terry’s health has declined quickly and those closest to him have shared on CaringBridge that he now appears to be in his final moments. Terry is surrounded by family and loved ones and he appears to be in a deep state of rest, while the field of love surrounding him is full and beautiful.

As you have followed Terry’s work, we felt that you would appreciate this update on his condition and feel moved to hold him in loving awareness during his final hours, so that his transition will be peaceful.

Terry’s dear friend Craig Hamilton beautifully expressed how so many of us are feeling:

“I’m finding it hard to let go of my beloved spiritual brother, yet it is clear now that the fight is over and acceptance is the only path. Like all of you, I will miss him deeply. The courage, wholeheartedness and deep surrender with which he met this final challenge will be forever etched into my soul.”

In recent months, Terry has seen his own confrontation with mortality as a collective opportunity for us to face what is hardest to face, to receive the radical medicine that dying and grieving can offer, and to be grateful for the amazing miracle of each moment.

We will share additional updates as Terry’s transition unfolds. He has so loved sharing his life and work with you — thank you so much for your care and support.
