Description:

From their website:

Simpol – the Simultaneous Policy – combines a way to understand global problems, a new approach to politics, and an electoral strategy that brings them together.

Our solution is a range of multi-issue policy packages to solve global problems with each package to be implemented, at the same time, on the same date. That way, no nation loses out – everyone wins. Each package contains multiple issues so nations can balance the costs of one issue with the gains from another.

Simpol is common sense. It’s about going from destructive global competition to truly global cooperation.

To make it happen, we run campaigns in countries around the world that give citizens the power to compel their leaders to implement Simpol through the vote. You can support Simpol by signing up as a supporter, or read on to learn more about why Simpol is the answer.

Launched in 2000 by businessman John Bunzl, the idea for Simpol came as the response to a question: what would you do to solve the issue of Climate Change? Sitting at Sunday dinner with his family, John arrived at the idea almost as an epiphany – all nations would have to act together, simultaneously. Only that way could all nations win.

Simpol is run by the International Simultaneous Policy Organisation (ISPO). Since it was founded, Simpol has been collaboratively developed with politicians, academics, psychologists and supporting citizens.

Description:

In the 21st century we face innumerable material and existential challenges both now and in the future, from religious fanaticism, mass migration, unfettered corporate power, to inequality, big data and climate change. Ahead of these global threats and tragedies is a common barrier to their solution—it is the spirit that has defined the age we live in: competition. The Simultaneous Policy Solution, the ‘SIMPOL Solution’ shows us how we must all come to terms with the crippling effect of global competition. Only through simultaneous action, through cooperation, can we overcome these problems.
