Hindi and Urdu are incredibly similar (e.g. mutually intelligible) languages.

What strikes me about them is the different beauty of the words with origins in Sanskrit or Arabic. Twin words for “time”, “book”, “thanks”, etc are retained by all who speak.

Oddly matched in beauty.
